Our authentic Cowboy Tubs are wood-fired Cofu Heaters — you provide the fire! Plan for about 1.5 hours to fill and heat, which is the perfect time to start your BBQ, explore the property, or watch the sunset over the pines.
Tubs are only available when overnight temperatures are above freezing (approximately mid-March through mid-November). Unit 2's electric hot tub is available year-round.
Alton sits at approximately 7,000 feet elevation. The access road can become snowy and icy — we strongly recommend a 4WD or AWD vehicle from November through March, and chains may be required during heavy snowfall.
Wood-fired cowboy tubs are only available when overnight temperatures are above freezing (approximately mid-March through mid-November). Unit 2's electric hot tub is available year-round.
At 7,600+ feet elevation under some of Utah's darkest skies, let's just say the odds are… not zero. Alton has long been known as a hotspot for unexplained lights, unusual sightings, and things that go bump in the night sky.
