Designed for Large Groups — Not Just Tolerating Them

The logistics that matter

Starlit Ridge isn't just a place that allows large groups — it's a property that naturally supports them. Seven cabins organized in walkable clusters. Multiple gathering spaces instead of one shared room. Space for trailers, vans, and tents that no hotel near Bryce or Zion can match.

You get the comfort of private cabins combined with the flexibility of a campground — all on one private, quiet, scenic property at the exact midpoint between both parks.

💡

The answer to "Where do we all fit?" Hotels near Bryce and Zion are scattered, expensive, and designed for couples. Starlit Ridge keeps everyone together in one place — walking distance to each other, sharing fire pits and dark skies.

Bring Trailers, Vans & Tents

What no lodge near Bryce or Zion can offer

No hotel inside or adjacent to Bryce Canyon or Zion can accommodate a convoy of trailers, a fleet of vans, and a group of tent campers all in one place. Starlit Ridge can. This is one of the biggest advantages for large groups, scout troops, youth organizations, and anyone traveling with vehicles.

🚐 Multiple Trailer Spots
Flat areas with enough room for multiple trailers. Easy in and out — no tight turns or narrow roads to navigate.
⛺ Forest-Edge Tent Camping
Quiet, shaded tent spots at the forest edge — perfect for scout troops, youth groups, or overflow guests who prefer sleeping outside.
🚌 Van & Bus Turnaround
Large parking areas with easy turnaround for vans, shuttle buses, and small charter vehicles. Coordinate your group transport without parking headaches.
🅿️ Parking for 10–20 Cars
Generous parking across the property. With multiple cabin clusters, vehicles are distributed naturally rather than competing for one crowded lot.

Group Logistics Made Easy

Expert tips from people who've coordinated big groups here

Groups stress about the "how." Here's the playbook for a smooth Bryce–Zion group trip from Starlit Ridge.

Bryce Canyon Drive 35 minutes to the Bryce Canyon Shuttle Station at the park entrance. Large groups should split their fleet — park 5–10 vehicles there and let the free shuttle do the work. Avoid trying to drive 10+ cars inside the park. Shuttle capacity is generous and this dramatically simplifies the day.
Zion National Park Zion's shuttle system from Springdale is mandatory April–October. Plan to arrive before 8 AM for the best access. Angels Landing now requires permits (lottery-based) — book 3+ months in advance for large groups. The Narrows and Canyon Overlook Trail don't require permits and are excellent group hikes.
Red Canyon Just 15 minutes from Starlit Ridge. Red Canyon has similar red-rock formations to Bryce Canyon but a fraction of the crowds. For groups of 20+, this is the ideal day trip — multiple trails, easy logistics, no shuttle, and room to stay together on the trail. Highly recommended as your first full day.
Groceries & Provisions Stock up before you climb the plateau. The nearest large grocery store is in Panguitch (25 minutes) or Cedar City (50 minutes). There is no large grocery store near Starlit Ridge. Groups should plan a full provisioning stop on the drive in — ideally in Cedar City or Panguitch — to avoid multiple trips.
Morning Coordination Assign a departure time and stick to it. The parks fill fast — especially Zion in summer. A 7:30 AM departure from Starlit Ridge puts you at trailheads by 8:30, ahead of the shuttle crowds. For groups with young kids, Bryce is generally easier to coordinate than Zion.

Frequently Asked Questions

Group lodging at Starlit Ridge

Can we book all 7 cabins as one reservation?
Yes. Whole-property bookings are available and are the cleanest option for groups of 30+. You get exclusive access to all cabins, all outdoor areas, and full parking. Contact us directly for whole-property pricing — it's often more cost-effective than booking cabins individually.
Do you have space for trailers and RVs?
Yes — the property has 3–4 total 50-amp hookup sites, each with a fire ring and parking. When booking individual collections, 1–2 sites are available (we keep the rest reserved for owners and guests). Book the whole property and all sites open up. The East Ridge near the Sunrise Collection also has near-unlimited tent and trailer overflow. Contact us before your trip to coordinate placement.
What's the easiest way to handle Bryce Canyon with a large group?
Drive to the Bryce Canyon Shuttle Station at the park entrance (35 minutes from here). Park your vehicles there and use the free shuttle to move through the park. Don't try to caravan 10+ cars through Bryce — it creates real coordination headaches and parking is limited at viewpoints.
Where should we grocery shop for a large group?
Stock up before you arrive. Panguitch has grocery options about 25 minutes away. Cedar City has full grocery stores about 50 minutes out. Plan a full provisioning stop on your drive in — groups that skip this end up making multiple trips throughout the stay.
How is group coordination handled on the property?
The cabin cluster layout makes it natural — each collection has its own fire pit and gathering space, so your group can spread out or come together as the evening calls for it. The whole-property option works especially well for groups that want a shared home base feeling.

Wild Country. Comfortable Beds.
Everyone Together.

You're not renting rooms. You're renting a basecamp. Two national parks within an hour. Dark sky nights. Fire pits. Space to breathe. This is where groups remember why they traveled together.
